How do I add a new clinician?

From your main dashboard, click on 'Add Clinician'.

Once you've chosen the clinician's professional body and entered their registration number, click the 'Check number' button to confirm that the format of the number is OK (except for 'Other...' bodies which don't have defined numbers). If you're adding a GMC doctor, this will also check their number against the GMC's List of Registered Medical Practitioners (LRMP) to confirm that the doctor can be found and to give you their name.

Once you've filled in the rest of the form, click the 'Check email' button to make sure the email format is OK. This will also check for any existing L2P users with that email address. If the email address is found, you will be told if it's OK to go ahead and add the clinician or if there are any problems with the combination of professional body, registration number and email address.

If the check tells you that there is a matching clinician with an inactive account, please confirm with the clinician that you have their permission to see their existing L2P data. If not - or if you have any other questions about adding a clinician - please contact support@L2P.co.uk for advice.

Note that if the clinician you're adding is registered with more than one professional body, please choose a UK professional body in preference to an overseas body. For example, if a doctor is registered with both the GMC and the IMC, please choose GMC as their professional body.
