What is an APR and why am I doing it?
Question: What is an APR and why am I doing it (to include Video)?
APR - Annual Performance Review
Annual Performance Reviews (APRs) are required and provide managers and caregivers the opportunity to:
- Formally review job performance over the past year.
- Establish performance expectations, goals and development opportunities.
- Facilitate ongoing coaching discussions.
APRs are a collaborative process during which caregivers and their managers discuss progress toward goals (OKRs) and behaviors reflecting Cleveland Clinic’s Values.
APRs are a way to track progress, set goals, and provide feedback. They help ensure that employees are meeting expectations and have the opportunity to grow and develop in their roles. By having regular performance reviews, managers can identify areas for improvement, recognize achievements, and provide support where needed. It is a chance for both parties to have open and honest discussions about performance, goals, and development opportunities. Ultimately, APRs are a valuable tool for fostering communication, accountability, and growth within an organization.
