Term time working generally involves staff only working during school term time. This means that the default “Attending/working weeks” would reflect this reduced availability. This would be a contractual agreement between the Organisation and the individual and reflected in the job plan by reflecting the actual number of planned “Attending/working weeks”.
For example, most organisations for the Consultant/SAS/Speciality Doctors use 42 “Attending/working weeks”. So, a consultant on a term time working agreement would generally work 38 attending/working weeks but this may be different.
Altering the “Attending/working weeks” will affect how hours and PAs are calculated especially in the case of annualised or non-scheduled activities. For instance, if you work fewer than the default “Attending/working weeks” but make no changes to the number of times that you do an activity, then this will result in higher weekly average PAs or hours.
NOTE: It is straightforward to change the “Attending/working weeks” to the required number but please consult Attending/working weeks if you are unsure.
