What is a Cycle in Job Planning?

Modified on Thu, 25 Jul, 2024 at 4:13 PM

A Cycle or Frequency within a job plan can refer to an individual or a group of activities that happen in certain repeating patterns such as weekly, monthly, every other week, or another repeatable pattern.

In L2P, the Cycle of the activity would be an element of the Schedule and would describe how this activity pattern Repeats.

You can record multiple Cycles in your job plan on L2P which will allow you to record activities more easily without having to break the pattern down to the lowest commonly occurring Cycle.

NOTE: Where there are complex scheduling requirements and a combination of weekly and monthly activity, you may find that this causes Conflicts – please see the linked document for resolving conflicts in job plans.
