It is possible to record the ESR Employee Number for an employee in L2P but this may be dependant on your Organisations settings.
One benefit of recording the ESR number is that it can make reporting across different systems easier. For instance, the assignment number is typically recorded in both the ESR and rosters, so both would utilise a single unique reference number
To see whether this is possible you should:
- Check an editable job plan – the screenshot below shows that this is available in the contract section when editing a job plan
- You may not see this option within the contract section – in these circumstances, it demonstrates that this is not required. You would need to make any request to update the configuration through either the Customer Support Team or your Customer Success Manager.
NOTE: This may have a different term of reference within your Organisation such as Employee Number, Assignment Number or something else. Also, if you are using this reference, then you do need assurance that it is kept up-to-date regularly.
