The Type is a second filter for job plan activities and any activity must first have the Category selected before the filter is available to use.
Types of activities would be based on contractual requirements or recommendations for the staffing group. However, there is usually more flexibility on the Type versus the Category of activity which makes it more relevant to the organisation, staffing group, contract, or speciality.
The Types and Categories make it easier to identify and select the relevant activity and will help the Organisation with any required reporting whilst ensuring consistency. If you are not able to identify appropriate selections for your activity, you should speak to your Administrator.
NOTE: There is normally a similar theme with the types across Organisations but there may be variations in terminology from the above screenshot.
